The Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Asian Eye Institute. Present during the contract-signing were Chairman Gen. Edgar B. Aglipay, Acting General Manager Col. Fernando Francisco, from AEI: President Mr. Benjamin K. Liboro, COO, Ms. Anna Karina Gerochi, Dr. Robert T. Ang, Mr. Javi Moreno, and Ms. Josephine Recto.
PRA is mandated to position the Philippines as Southeast Asia’s best retirement destination and as an investment hub. It seeks to provide the best life for retirees as embodied in its slogan, “Smile at Life in the Philippines,” and adheres to the United Nations Principles for Older Persons, independence, participation, care, self-fulfillment, and dignity. Thus, the PRA partners with organizations – that have passed its accreditation standards – that can help provide pertinent products and services for its retirees.
On the other hand, the Eye Institute is engaged in the operation and management of an ambulatory eye care center that provides comprehensive eye care services for lasik, cataract, glaucoma, retina and vitreous diseases, pediatric and adult strabismus, ophthalmic plastic surgery, immunology and uveitis, and low vision rehabilitation.
The Eye Institute expands its market to registered PRA member-retirees, PRA employees and their qualified dependents. Under the Corporate Friends Program, the Eye Institute will grant them the following privileges: 30% discount on consultation and professional fees; and 20% discount on surgeries, diagnostic examinations, laser treatment and surgeries except photodynamic theraphy.
